Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson at the Bride Wars premiere

It was Oscar de la Renta frocks, high-rise hairpieces and girly hugs a-plenty at the US premiere of the latest chick flick, Bride Wars. But what's going on here do you think?

Kate Winslet (in Balmain) & Leonardo DiCaprio are back together again at the Revolutionary Road premiere

You have no idea how happy my inner 15-year-old is right now! Sticking two fingers up to the people who accused her of being airbrushed beyond recognition in her recent Vanity Fair spread, Kate Winslet was reunited with her Titanic co-star Leo DiCaprio for the premiere of their new film, Revolutionary Road. Following that Herve Leger frock the other week was always going to be tricky, but she upped the ante even more by opting for a black Balmain number.

Jennifer Connelly at 'The Day the Earth Stood Still' NY premiere

Balenciaga devotee Jennifer Connelly stayed true to her fashion house when she stepped out in this sparkly aqua number at the premiere of her new film The Day the Earth Stood Still in New York last night. With long, sleek hair (extensions?) and some really subtle yet gorgeous peep-toe heels, she looked fresh and glowing. The party sequin frock and flowing hair is a bit of a departure from the look I'm used to her sporting (neutral-toned architectural dresses and a swept-back 'do) but I really like the change.

Red carpet: Renee Zellweger is plummy in Marchesa at 'Leatherheads' premiere, London

It is nice to see Renee Zellweger in town again, she can't seem to get enough of our fine shores as her previous roles in Bridget Jones and Miss Potter prove. And we are glad to have her, especially when she promotes our local fashion talent.

The actress fronted up to the U.K. première of her latest flick Leatherheads overnight in a strapless number designed by Marchesa.

While her co-star George Clooney continued to attract the ladies, Zellweger kept things sophisticated in this sumptuous plum-coloured evening dress, which gathered and ruched at the sides. The 38-year-old also stuck to her 'less is best' motto, refraining from adding accessories to her outfit.

New Sex and the City movie promo pics revealed!

They might be squabbling over
who is going to wear what to the première, but the ladies over at Sex and the City certainly look like they're getting along in their new promo pictures. Dressed to kill and having a blast, the fab four have been criticised in these latest photos for appearing too airbrushed.

What do you think of the new SATC promo pics? Are they too airbrushed? Tell us by leaving your comments below.

Renée Zellweger in Carolina Herrera at 'Leatherheads' premiere, Hollywood

Two of Hollywood's favourite stars, Renée Zellweger and George Clooney, took to the red carpet overnight for the world première of their latest flick Leatherheads. Zellweger looked the best that she has in a while in a 1940s style sheer blue dress by Carolina Herrera. A stickler for simple outfits, she kept things fuss-free with nude-coloured heels and a chunky ring on her finger. Both stars appear in the upcoming issue of British Marie Claire, where they discuss their thoughts on marriage and babies, only not together of course. Click here to read more.
The May issue of Marie Claire is out this Thursday.

Christina Ricci, Reese Witherspoon and Amanda Bynes at the Penelope premiere

After much hype about Christina Ricci’s new movie (where she plays a girl with a pig nose), Penelope has held it’s premiere at the Director's Guild of America last night in L.A. Wearing a slip dress with gold and ivory coloured stripes down the middle, it helped elongate Christian’s body while giving her a nice modern look. I am curious to find out what that tattoo is of on her right cleavage, it’s just peeking out. Co-star Reese Witherspoon didn’t dress up in a (Nina Ricci) pretty dress; instead looked chic in her slim cut black pants, purple top and a cute black jacket.
Meanwhile Amanda Bynes wore a strapless woven steel grey dress, which looks like it wasn’t made to not crease. But it’s a cute look as always.
Who do you think was the best dressed?

Girls Aloud at the St Trinian's première

The stars were out last night for the première of the new
St Trinian's film as Girls Aloud posed with Colin Firth, who plays the education minister charged with closing down the ailing school. Girls Aloud, who have a cameo in the film, looked gorgeous in a collection of shimmery dresses. I particularly like Sarah Harding's dress for its unusual t-shirt shape with a daring cutaway back. Starring actors Russell Brand and Rupert Everett also showed up as well as Rachel Stevens and 'What Not to Wear' duo Trinny and Susannah. See after the jump for more images.

Keira Knightley looking healthier at the LA premiere of Atonement

Keira Knightley has turned out in a peach coloured Rodarte dress for the Atonement premiere in Los Angeles last week. Glowing with good heath, the actress showed off her new bangs, which is fast becoming a Hollywood trend. While the Rodarte dress still drapes a little awkwardly across her chest, Keira looks a lot healthier than she did three months ago when she showed off her rib cage and hollow eyes at the London Atonement premiere. The bangs look fantastic on her, with her porcelain features she looks almost doll like in the full-skirted dress.

Keira Knightley goes to premiere, looks gorgeous

It's a tough life for Keira Knightley, isn't it?

Every night she has to put on a gorgeous frock and go to another premiere for her latest film Atonement. But at least she's good at it!
Last night was the LA premiere of the new movie, and Ms Knightley pulled out all the stops.

Keira's beautiful peach dress looks incredible and reminds me of something from Swan Lake: very floaty and feminine.

I'm also a big fan of her black and grey round-toed heels (though i'm not sure i'd have put them with that dress)

Still, they gave a very girly dress a tough and slight masculine edge. And 'girly with a tough edge' is a perfect description of the lovely Kiera if ever I heard it - as a glance at the cover of this month's Interview magazine will show you!

Hilary Swank at 'P.S. I Love You' world premiere

Hilary Swank made an assertive style statement in a stunning floor-length strapless black gown at the world premier of 'P.S. I Love You' at Grauman's Chinese Theater / Hollywood, CA, USA, Sunday, December 9.

The mermaid train gown had a voluminous ruffled front panel of scalloped frills with a back zip and was cleverly accented with a gold waist band.

Swank was adorned with black and golden pearl earrings, a bracelet in same hues and carried a black box clutch with gold metallic edges.

Her caramel highlights on short hair looked a perfect style to go with the dress!

In the film, directed by Richard LaGravenese, Swank plays a forlorn young widow who is encouraged to get along with her life by periodic messages delivered in surprising ways all of which end with P.S. I Love You.

The messages were meticulously planned and timed by her passionate and funny husband (Gerard Butler) before his untimely death due to illness.

Mixing comedy, romance and drama the film additionally stars Lisa Kudrow, Kathy Bates and Gina Gershon.

Maggie Q in shortalls at the Balls of Fury premiere

Short-alls was the trend this year that we all hoped would just pass by quickly. Really, only one out of a bazillion people look good in short-alls. Like....Maggie Q. Her sleek gray outfit mixes things up a bit by being a strapless tube short-all, and she polishes off the look with simple gold earrings and pale yellow Louboutin heels. (A fab reminder that gray and yellow is a gorgeous combination of colors.) I give the girl major props for being gutsy enough to try this look on the red carpet, and for keeping things simple to highlight exactly how sleek shortalls can be. And I can't wait to see the movie - previews for the underground ping pong tournament with Christopher Walken as the king pin look hilarious. Try the shortall look in a simpler style, on sale, for US$147.

Red Carpet Watch: "The Bourne Ultimatum" premiere, LA

Forget Matt Damon, last night's premiere of the Bourne Ultimatum was all about the ladies. Julia Stiles led the charge in a floor-sweeping crocheted number which doesn't really grab me. It's a little too doily for my liking and I'm not loving the overkill of straps up top from her slip. Jennifer Garner, on the other hand, radiated in this black and white mini dress complete with Christian Louboutin peep-toes. For once she actually appeared at an event with hubby Ben Affleck in toe! I'm also a fan of Joan Allen's strapless frock and silver stilettos - taking a leaf out of Posh and Cam's book... snaps for that!

Anne Hathaway's LBD at the premiere of Becoming Jane

Anne Hathaway is on another red carpet, this time for the premiere of her Jane Austin biopic, Becoming Jane. The starlet chose to go simple and chic in a little black dress with a plunging neckline and sequined detail. The dress hugged to her curves and the swept back hair and simple accessories suited the look perfectly.

What do you think of the look?

Becoming Jane was released in the UK in March, did you get to catch it on the big screen? It will start screening in the US on August 10, 2007.

'Fashion' at the UK Simpsons movie premiere (and we use that term lightly)

'Family' movie premieres in London can always be relied upon to bring us plenty of C-listers in bad clothes, and the premiere of the new Simpsons movie didn't disappoint. There were ex boyband members aplenty, not to mention poor Su-Elise Nash, who got accidentally credited on the photo wires as being her (slightly more famous) ex-bandmate Alesha Dixon. Ouch! Interestingly, the most fashion-forward attendee was actually Chloe Madeley (far right), daughter of Richard and Judy and obvious maxi dress fan. Other 'celeb' attendees included Lady Isabella Hervey in a very appropriate shade of yellow (left). Apparently she's now plugging her Red Letter Day experience, where she'll act as your personal trainer. After seeing her bitching her way through 'The Games' and 'Love Island' that's not something I'd want to receive as a gift...

Finally we have Keeley Hazell, who our token office boy confirms is a glamour model (and not a Cheryl Cole lookalike), posing next to her very own Simpsons character (Lily Allen's was better, though the real thing was a no-show). Like all good Page 3 girls, she went for short, girlie and cleavage enhancing.

*sigh* Nothing changes, does it?

Angelina Jolie Wears Recycled Dress To Premiere

No, it wasn’t made from recycled pop bottles, but it did have a previous owner — and the dress that Angelina Jolie rocked out in at the U.S. premiere of A Mighty Heart only cost $26.

The crushed velvet gown was scooped from Vintage clothing store Wasteland in LA. The shop “is a mixing pot of used clothing from all era’s.” They carry mostly 60’s thru 80’s styles but also have some 40’s-50’s gems. Good on ya, Angelina — we need more attention paid to second-hand shops and used clothing nooks.
