Renée Zellweger in Carolina Herrera at 'Leatherheads' premiere, Hollywood

Two of Hollywood's favourite stars, Renée Zellweger and George Clooney, took to the red carpet overnight for the world première of their latest flick Leatherheads. Zellweger looked the best that she has in a while in a 1940s style sheer blue dress by Carolina Herrera. A stickler for simple outfits, she kept things fuss-free with nude-coloured heels and a chunky ring on her finger. Both stars appear in the upcoming issue of British Marie Claire, where they discuss their thoughts on marriage and babies, only not together of course. Click here to read more.

Vanity Fair's Hollywood issue pays tribute to Hitchcock

It's nearly Oscar time and yet one film maker who never won a a little gold man was Alfred Hitchcock, appalling isn't it? To pay tribute the granddaddy of thriller, Vanity Fair have recreated scenes from some of his most famous films for the latest Hollywood issue. The gorgeous photo spread features the crème de la crème of today's silver screen stars including Renee Zellweger, Naomi Watts, Charlize Theron, Keira Knightley and my new boyfriend (only he doesn't know it yet) James McAvoy.

The Town's Most Glam Season May Be Scrapped Because of the Strike

Well, it's award show season again. Or is it?
The Writers Guild of America's strike, which has forced the cancellation of the Golden Globes and threatens the beloved Oscars, has put a big fat dent in this normally joyous season of guilty pleasure TV.

The Globes will be given out at a closed-door ceremony, but no red carpet or show will be televised for the fans. What fun is that? Do we really care who won? Or does our enjoyment come from the sadistic critiquing of stars' fashion choices?

To paraphrase (and butcher, frankly) the old "if a tree falls in the forest" saying, if an actor wins an award but we can't praise her gown, has she really won? And to pull out another tried-and-true adage, isn't this show business? Shouldn't the show go on?

Now, I don't purport to know the business of Hollywood. I know the business of fashion and trashin', and trust me when I tell you the fashion houses and tabloid rags are taking a major hit.

Without the pictures of primped, posing stars, the Hollywood shutterbugs will have to keep chasing the usual suspects to Starbucks, courtrooms or rehab in order to earn a living. And designers of jewels, shoes and glamorous gowns and tuxes will have to find a new way to hype and promote their couture creations.

Normally, an event like the Golden Globes is a hornet's nest of hairspray and high-end frocks with stars shamelessly pandering to the press for attention and approval for the look they didn't create or probably even pay for. The reality is that most of those on the red-hot red carpet have not personally spent a penny of their own overinflated salary (that's what the studios are for) on their looks. In fact, they haven't even spent much time pulling it all together. Typically, we're talking about a simple speed dial call to the publicist and we stylists are off and running to serve our prestigious clientele.

Fashion Rocks Brings Out Hollywood Elite

As part of New York City’s Fashion Week, Fashion Rocks took place last night at Radio City Music Hall. And there were plenty of performers to satisfy even the most eclectic tastes.

One of the coolest surprises of the night was when Aerosmith was performing “Walk This Way” and Fergie joined them onstage. With this song’s brilliant history of pairing Aerosmith with artists like Run DMC and Kid Rock, the performance delivered on it’s reputation.

Also at the show, Jennifer Lopez looked stunning while performing her disco hit “Waiting for Tonight.” Her choreography, bolstered by “ravenous paparazzi and strutting models,” added to the stunning spectacle.

And Avril Lavigne lent some estrogen to the show’s lineup, which was predominantly male. All in all, it was a good night. And you can see for yourself when Fashion Rocks airs tonight at 9pm EST on CBS.

Celebrity Watch: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the premiere of 'Ocean's Thirteen' in Hollywood

Fresh after promoting the movie in Cannes, the star pair of Brad and Angelina do it again on native shores in Hollywood. Just as they looked effortlessly cool on the French carpet, so they do here.

The Ocean’s Thirteen premiere was held at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California. The film, directed by Steven Soderbergh, is a joint presentation by Warner Bros Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures. Ocean’s Thirteen, starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Andy Garcia, revolves around Danny Ocean, played by George Clooney, and his gang who must retaliate when a dangerous enemy seriously injures one of their team, making him fight for his life in a hospital room. In order to do this, they plan to get him back through his wallet by arranging a major theft on his new casino’s opening night and by destroying his image, leaving him with nothing.

The multi-starrer flick is a sequel to the previously successful films Ocean’s Eleven and Ocean’s Twelve. Pitt and Jolie make the ultimate Hollywood power couple. They both fill the cinema halls with beauty, charisma and amazing performances. They both stroll red carpets as if it were their living room. And they share a love of traveling impoverished nations with their children. There are couples you love to hate, but this isn’t one of them. Did we mention they never make a false fashion move?

Boyfriend Brad does the same, dressed in a black henley, jacket and pants. A happier couple on the film scene we have yet to see. Angelina, who told People magazine in a recent interview that Pitt can mysteriously remove her from her shell during bath time, seems to revel in her newfound bliss. Hey, if we had someone like that scrubbing our back, we’d probably be smiling too.

The magic they made in Mr. and Mrs. Smith just keeps getting better and better. Always immaculately dressed and in step with each other’s outfits, the pair has nothing to prove and they know it.

Some looks are so sizzling, we lack the words to describe it. The platinum blonde, seen here in a strapless satin dress in pink and blue ombre is always at home, whether it's on a red carpet, a film set, or a benefit for charitable causes.

It's so rare in Hollywood that one is blessed with both looks and talent. Add charitable causes to that list, and you've got a star who's one in a million. Actress Scarlett Johansson recently played hostess at the Louis Vuitton LoVe party for his new LoVe collection and the Oxfam charity organization. Twenty-two-year-old Johansson has been a model and spokesperson for the French design house since 2005. And in November 2006 was named Esquire magazine's Sexiest Woman Alive. It's not hard to understand her appeal to both men and women, looking at this photo of her, taken May 3rd, at the charity gala event.

Scarlett's next big Hollywood project is director Woody Allen's film Midnight in Barcelona in the summer of 2007.
