Christina Ricci, Reese Witherspoon and Amanda Bynes at the Penelope premiere

After much hype about Christina Ricci’s new movie (where she plays a girl with a pig nose), Penelope has held it’s premiere at the Director's Guild of America last night in L.A. Wearing a slip dress with gold and ivory coloured stripes down the middle, it helped elongate Christian’s body while giving her a nice modern look. I am curious to find out what that tattoo is of on her right cleavage, it’s just peeking out. Co-star Reese Witherspoon didn’t dress up in a (Nina Ricci) pretty dress; instead looked chic in her slim cut black pants, purple top and a cute black jacket.

Meanwhile Amanda Bynes wore a strapless woven steel grey dress, which looks like it wasn’t made to not crease. But it’s a cute look as always.

Celebrity Watch: American sweetheart Reese Witherspoon

She’s blonde, bubbly, and pretty much never makes a fashion faux pas. She’s currently part of the elite crop of A-list actresses who gets first crack at Hollywood’s best parts. Yes, she’s Reese Witherspoon.

The fun part about Reese is that she is always up for a good time. A former child model who studied the literature track at Stanford, she’s nobody’s fool. Miss Witherspoon, who was named one of Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential People, knows how to deliver a hit. Not an easy task in Hollywood, but this Southern belle strikes a chord with critics and fans alike. She amused us as an airhead in Legally Blonde, impressed us in Cruel Intentions, and wowed the whole world when she won an Oscar for Walk the Line.

What’s more is the darling of the silver screen is also the darling of the designers. She looks just as home on the red rug as she does eating Pinkberry yogurt with her two young kids. Having moved on from a failed marriage to Ryan Phillippe, she seems to have set a feather in her cap for fellow A-lister Jake Gyllenhaal. She could do a lot worse!

Seen in this recent photograph, Reese looks her casual best, attired in blue jeans, hair worn back with a pair of trendy oversized glares and walking sandals. Sometimes feeling relaxed is just more important than everything else, but she makes sure it all goes together! Here’s wishing other Hollywood stars would be a little more ladylike on and off the carpet, we bet we’re not the only ones. It’s as if she knows the cameras are always clicking, but she always comes prepared. Well done, Reese!
