Gallery: red carpet glamour at the Valentino premiere party

The fashion legend that is Valentino Garavani can definitely pull in a crowd. The Venice Film Festival after party for the premiere of the new film 'Valentino: The Last Emperor' pulled in a host of A-list names including Charlize Theron, Elizabeth Hurley, Claire Danes and Diane Kruger. They all looked fabulous (mainly in Valentino, natch) and we've got the pics!

Star style: Gwyneth Paltrow and Liz Hurley are pretty in pink for breast cancer charity bash, New York

It was a pink parade last night at The Breast Cancer Research Foundation's Hottest Pink Party in New York. Estee Lauder spokesmodels Liz Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow attended the benefit, held at the Waldorf-Astoria, and hosted by Mrs Evelyn H. Lauder herself.

As the theme suggested, all guests were asked to wear pink, with Liz Hurley reflecting her new Indian connections in a pale ombre pink sari (note: ombre is very on-trend for spring).

While Gwyneth Paltrow turned heads in a fuchsia-coloured, thigh-splitting number, featuring a black sash tied at the waist. With her new shorter curly do' it was a whole new look for the actress, and one that I hope she will stick to.

What do you think of each of their looks? We'd love to hear your comments, tell us below.

Buy Elizabeth Hurley's safety pin Versace dress

We all remember that little black dress held together by safety pins (pictured above surrounded by models) that Elizabeth Hurley wore to the London premiere of Four Weddings and a Funeral back 1994. The Versace safety-pin dress that shot an unknown model to fame is still one of the most memorable dresses on the red carpet and is on sale for the first time at Harrods for £10,690 as part of their Timeless Luxury, Little Black Dress exhibition.

If you can get into Harrods in Knightsbridge, it is definitely worth checking out the exhibition of LBD’s. Included in the collection is the little black dress that actress Audrey Hepburn wore in 1963 movie Charades.

"The little black dress is an institution we're proud to pay homage to. Every designer since Coco Chanel has taken the concept, given it a twist and tried to put their stamp on it," the Sun quoted Martin Buckley, marketing manager at Harrods, as saying. "As the Hepburn dress proved, however old the design a little black dress will always be a stunning classic."

If you’re interested in buying the Liz Hurley/Versace dress, then the dress will be tailored made for you, and delivered to you two months after the order date. Better get saving!

Heidi Klum takes over from Elizabeth Hurley by rocking Jordache ads

Barely a month has gone by and there are more semi nude photos of Heidi Klum making the rounds. This time however it's not Claudia Schiffer who needs to feel inadequate along with the rest of us mere mortals but Elizabeth Hurley instead. Looking fantastic in nothing else but a pair of Jordache jeans and brandishing a riding crop to represent the brand's horse head logo, you do get the feeling that Liz (who was replaced by Klum as the face of Jordache) wouldn't have brought quite the same level of sensuality and high fashion to the camera.

Maybe she had the same problem with Helena Christensen replacing her over at Monsoon. Not to worry Liz, not many women can compete with someone who looks like Klum after three kids. After all, they don't call them supermodels for nothing!

Liz Hurley dropped as face of jeans giant Jordache

British beauty Elizabeth Hurley has been dropped as the face of American clothing company Jordache.

And, to add insult to injury, Jordache has signed on German supermodel Heidi Klum as their new face instead.

Hurley had signed on for the company just last year.

Klum shot a new advertising campaign for the jeans line last week with Rush Hour director Brett Ratner behind the camera.

This is the second contract that the Brit beauty has lost.

She was dropped as the face of fashion label Monsoon in late March for someone younger.

Hurley had signed a six-month deal worth a million pounds with Monsoon, but with half of the period over, the company decided not to renew her contract in June thanks to poor sales that dominated the firm’s accounts, despite their "Create A Storm" ad campaign.
