Wowsers! Get a load of this awesome team-up. The supermodel gloves are out with Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista reuniting for DSquared's latest spring/summer '09 campaign, shot by Steven Meisel. Now it's just a case of figuring out what they're fighting about. Perhaps it's over who is the biggest diva, or who scored the better campaigns and covers last year? French Vogue Feb '08 issue: stars Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse...?

The latest issue of French Vogue sees two of our favourite supermodels, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, reunited for the cover. But that isn't what has really sparked our interest... It's the mag's editorial shoot featuring model Isabeli Fontana as Amy Winehouse (complete with former bee-hive) that has tickled our fancy. With Karl Lagerfeld recently declaring the troubled singer inspiration for his pre-fall show ("she is the dark Brigitte Bardot), I'm wondering - how much influence does Wino actually have on the fashion biz these days. Or has she done her dash now that she's sans beehive?

Naomi and Elle still on enviably fabulous form after years in fashion

While most women of a certain age have to contend with the odd bit of cellulite, the normal rules clearly don't apply to supermodels. Naomi Campbell and fellow fashion queen Elle Macpherson both looked as though they'd found a way to cheat time this week as they flaunted fabulously toned physiques on opposites sides of the globe.

Wearing an itsy bitsy, fire-engine red bikini on a break in South America, the British cover girl – who turns 38 in May - would have been the envy of girls half her age.

Even without the help of a team of stylists Naomi looked naturally glamorous, with her long locks flowing about her shoulders and showing off a trim tum and honed abs.

Over in Sydney Elle was also going for the natural beach babe look. And the mother of two revealed she's in equally enviable form at 44 as she donned a daringly youthful combination of cowboy hat and nude-coloured bikini for an advertising shoot on the Aussie shoreline.

Naomi Campbell slams Vogue's preference for white models

Naomi Campbell has slammed magazines like Vogue for sidelining black models by giving preference to fair-skinned women.

The stroppy supermodel said that ‘it is a pity that people don’t appreciate black beauty’.
The 37-year-old admitted that she herself finds it difficult to get a chance to appear in the cover page of the London issue of Vogue magazine.

“Black models are being sidelined by the major modeling agencies. It is a pity that people don’t appreciate black beauty,” Times Online quoted Campbell, as saying.

“Even myself, I get a raw deal from my own country in England. For example, I hardly come on the front pages of the London Vogue magazine. Only white models, some of whom are not as prominent as I am, are put on splash pages. I don’t want to quit modeling until I find that black models get equal prominence and recognition by the world media and information instruments.”

“I believe there are pretty girls from your lovely country who can grace the international catwalk and the front pages of fashion magazines with proper strategies.”

Campbell is now planning to start her own modeling agency in Kenya to look for African faces.
However, she agreed that it would take time to being the change in the industry.

“You can look through all the big magazines and see hundreds of models and not see a single black one. So anything which increases the pool of African talent is a good thing, but it will be a while before we see a big change in the industry,” she said.

Naomi Campbell speaks out against racism in Fashion

Supermodel Naomi Campbell has set the cat amongst the pigeons (again), after telling a Kenyan journalist earlier this week. “It’s a pity that people don’t appreciate black beauty.” She continued. “There is prejudice. It is a problem and I can’t go along anymore with brushing it under the carpet.”

Campbell also complained that she rarely features on the cover of British Vogue; the model has so far appeared a total of eight times, which when compared to Kate Moss’ enormous 24, is a small amount. The supermodel first appeared in British Vogue in 1987, and has risen to fame to join an extremely small number of prominent black models, also added. “This business is about selling, and blonde and blue-eyed girls are what sell.”

Campbell, who should be congratulated for always taking the bull by the horns and never shying away from this issue, is now talking of loose plans to open a modelling agency in Kenya, to help rebalance the situation.

Naomi says no one can 'measure up' to Kate Moss

Supermodel/actress/singer Naomi Campbell has made it clear that her fashion interest lies with her catwalk pal Kate Moss’s designs only.

The 37-year-old’s reaction came as Moss and model/designer Lily Allen have launched their fashion collection at the same time.

At the De Grisogono party in Cannes, Campbell insisted that no one can ‘measure up’ to the waifish beauty.

"Lily who? People are always trying to compare themselves to Kate, but none measure up. There's only one Kate Moss,” the Mirror quoted Campbell, as saying.

The ‘Baby Woman’ singer also revealed that she has picked up lots of pieces from Moss’s Topshop collection.

"I've bought loads of pieces already,” she said.

Allen’s New Look collection was launched in New York, but was a flop as compared to Moss’s collection, which is setting records for its sale and has become a buyers’ favorite.
