Posh and co Spice up fashion pal Roberto Cavalli's Milan show

Though they're right in the middle of the London leg of their sell-out world tour the Spice Girls managed to squeeze in a very special appointment this week. Posh, Sporty, Scary, Baby, and Ginger jetted to Milan to attend the menswear presentation of Roberto Cavalli, the Italian fashion maestro who designed the glittering stage costumes for their shows.
Dressed in red carpet-worthy outfits, the girls were full of praise for their style-icon pal as they joined him on stage. "His clothes make you feel sexy," said Geri Halliwell, whose ivory satin dress stood out against the midnight black ensembles chosen by her bandmates.
The five-piece also voiced their appreciation of Italian men, pegging them as "very passionate" and "more stylish" than their British counterparts. "Italians are stallions," quipped Leeds-born Mel B, quickly adding: "Or so I've heard!".

'Posh asked me to give her hips in outfits': Roberto Cavalli

Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli has revealed that Victoria Beckham asked him to "give her hips" in the outfits he designed for the Spice Girls' comeback tour.

The Fashion supremo, who designed outfits for the band's reunion tour said that the 33-year-old singer "was the most daring".

"She wanted to experiment, to surprise and be different. Her only request was that we give her hips," Cavalli told Grazia magazine.

He said that he had met each one of the Spice Girls personally to know their personality.

"I met each one on their own so I could get an idea of their personality," he said.

"I asked them about their bodies, what they wanted to show and hide, and we talked about how they had evolved in the years since they were Spice Girls," he added.

He also made them view his archives and asked what they wanted to wear.

Geri Halliwell wanted to show off her toned body while new mother Emma Bunton wanted all covered up, he revealed.

"We updated Geri's iconic Union Jack dress into a corseted Swarovski crystal-studded mini dress," he said.

Melanie C wanted to be more rock chick than sporty, he added.

Cavalli further revealed that Mel B was very assertive with the outfits.

"Melanie B, she was very strong, very assertive. Oh my, she was very hard work," he said
"I had to change her outfits twice. She wanted shiny, body-conscious clothes, and animal prints...."he added.

Posh pens fashion bible

Victoria Beckham, wife of soccer star David Beckham will release a style guide in November, titled 'That Extra Half an Inch: Hair, Heels and Everything in Between'.

"I've always been a girl's girl," the Spice Girl said in a statement.

"And I know from experience that making the very best of your self is something any woman can do.

"I was never the 6-foot-tall pin-up. I've always been the girl-next-door who got lucky. I've come a long way in the last ten years, but this book isn't my attempt to tell you what or what not to do. It's just to share some of what I've learned."

According to publisher HarperCollins, the book will offer guidance on everything from leaving home looking great to getting dressed up for special occasions.

Beckham's ability to sell books, at least other people's books, has already been demonstrated.

Last year, she was photographed holding a copy of 'Skinny Bitch, a diet guide' by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin.

That book quickly became a best seller.

Posh's "totally major" fashion project

Victoria Beckham is set to begin work on a new fashion project in which she will be creating denim garments, according to her website.

The diva, who recently moved to Los Angeles with footballer husband David, promised that the new line would be "totally major" in a statement where she described her life in one of America's most posh cities.

Speaking about her new home, also described as "totally major", the singer revealed: "Well we have finally unpacked our boxes and I am loving our new house. "Just adding some of the finishing touches to it actually and then it really will feel like home."

She added that her children were looking forward to starting at their new school and that she was making sure "they are all kitted out with new schoolbags and pencil cases".

"[Y]ou remember what it's like going back to school, you've got to have a new EVERYTHING!"

Posh Spice also revealed she attended a glitzy launch party in Bel Air last week for the couple's new fragrance Intimately Beckham. Besides work and family life, Victoria has also been enjoying the California lifestyle with regular visits to restaurants and beauty parlours. "I have been busy having a good look around LA, checking out the restaurants and the beauty parlours - well you never know when you might need a facial," she joked.Posh and Becks recently moved to the West coast after the former Real Madrid star signed a lucrative deal with LA Galaxy. Since their arrival in the US the couple have appeared at a host of A-list parties and in a number of magazines.

They have been regularly photographed with Hollywood power couple Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes and a one-hour show about Victoria's search for a house in LA has been broadcast on American television.

Victoria will be performing in the Spice Girls world tour in December and January.

Posh lineup on annual best-dressed list

Nicolas Sarkozy, the newly elected president of France, is now rubbing well-tailored shoulders with Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney, at least among this year's Vanity Fair best-dressed list.

The magazine's 68th annual list also saw retired star Japanese midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata, American rocker Lenny Kravitz and filmmaker Sofia Coppola honoured for their sartorial elegance.

Among the couples on the 2007 International Best-Dressed List were Hollywood leading couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who featured along with former England captain David Beckham and his pop star wife Victoria, aka Posh Spice.

While Beckham has appeared on the list before, it was the first time the pair had appeared as a couple.

"Beckham, like his wife, has a body made for clothes and, of course, looks wonderful even dressed in nothing but his tattoos. Posh and Becks are each other's best accessories," the magazine's Amy Fine-Collins said.

Other notables include actress Charlotte Gainsbourg, Michelle Obama, the wife of Democratic Party presidential hopeful Barack Obama, and Bee Shaffer, daughter of Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

Another second generation celebrity - Ivanka Trump, daughter of real estate mogul Donald Trump - made the list along with US actress Renee Zellweger and British actor-director Richard E Grant.

The list appears in the magazine's September issue.

Nice dimples, Posh ... shame they're on your sun-kissed legs

With that pout permanently in place, there was no chance of dimples ever showing on Victoria Beckham's unsmiling face.

Maybe that's why they've turned up somewhere else.

And for a woman known to be rather particular about her appearance, there couldn't be any worse news.

As she arrived at a film shoot in the Hollywood Hills, Posh's legs, which she likes to show off as much as possible, appeared to display the classic signs of cellulite.

Leg up: the high maintenance star showed off unsightly saggy skin on her pins

Victoria maintains a very strict diet but rarely exercises, which could have affected the elasticity of her skin

The puckered skin can be clearly seen here on her left leg as she scales a set of steps . . . just when everything was going so smoothly in her drive to conquer America.

Hollywood is known for its incredible sunlight but what's a big draw for moviemakers is a big drawback for those with even the smallest imperfections to hide.

Seasoned stars are only too aware of the pitfalls and cellulite treatments and hours spent on stepping machines are big parts of life in Tinseltown.

Not quite the bees knees: Posh also shocked onlookers with her sunken thigh

The unfortunate picture, not sanctioned by her publicity machine, emerged as Mrs Beckham, 33, arrived at a film shoot for another TV project.

Her first offering, Victoria Beckham: Coming to America, a one-off special, was seen in the U.S. on NBC, attracting only 4.9million viewers. Shown here by ITV on Tuesday, it was beaten in the ratingsby a repeat of BBC crime drama Waking The Dead, although it did outshine Big Brother on Channel 4.

American critics were unimpressed by the show. The New York Post called it 'an orgy of self-indulgence' and described Mrs Beckham as 'vapid and condescending'.

Posh was preparing for a photoshoot at a rental property in Hollywood

NBC, however, seems happy about her pulling power.

Last night she was seen by millions more American viewers as a guest host for the network, introducing four comedies between 8 and 10pm.

'Network bosses were thrilled by Posh's show and thought she could bring a little humour to their comedy night,' said a source. 'They are already in talks about Posh appearing in other NBC projects.'

Posh won't return to Battersea for fashion event

It could be a while before Victoria Beckham is spotted in Battersea again, after the organisers of Graduate Fashion Week announced the event will be moved to a new home next year.

Posh Spice brought Battersea Park to a standstill last month, when she attracted more paparazzi flashes than most of the catwalk models put together, despite merely being a judge at the event.

Strutting into the event wearing dangerously high spikey stilletos and a patchwork monochrome dress, the mum-of-three made history by unusually splitting the main prize between two designers.

Her determined efforts to launch herself as a "global style icon" mean her connection to Europe's largest fashion show could well continue next year.

But that won't mean a return to Battersea for Los Angeles' newest fame-seeker.

Graduate Fashion Show organisers have announced the event has simply outgrown its original venue in Battersea Park and will instead be held at Earls Court 2 from next year.
