Sienna Miller's winter style: 'folorn chic'

Sienna Miller was snapped out in the streets of London yesterday, looking just about as happy as anyone can look when they've just come back to Britain after a holiday in Mexico. In December.

That said, she did look rather dapper - if a little Olsen Twin-slash-Michael-Jackson-like - in a swing coat, trilby, sunglasses, leggings and big cosy Ugg boots. If you to copy her folorn orphan - I mean, 'cosy winter' - style, take a look at our Fab Winter Coats List. It's guaranteed to keep any forlorn Victorian child cosy this Christmas.

Alice + Olivia's Marchesa dress as seen on Sienna Miller

At the spring 2007 ready to wear shows in September 2006, Marchesa showed a pretty grey dress decorated with floral appliqué along the bust. It was soon seen on Sienna Miller (with Jude Law) at the opening of the Metropolitan Opera for the 2006/07 season. Now a similar dress made by Alice + Olivia is available for you to buy for only $297. Their Rosette Tube dress is strikingly similar to the Marchesa one, with chiffon overlay detail and rosette detail at the bust, the only difference is the length and the colour.

What do you think, too similar for comfort, or a fabulous cheaper buy?

Sienna Miller Supports Global Cool Fashion

Sienna Miller has been showing her support for a global warming campaign by sporting a trendy new tshirt.

The actress is among a long list of celebrities supporting the Global Cool campaign and wore their specially designed tshirt for a recent campaign trip to Mumbai.

"I’m here in India to help spread the word about Global Cool and how we can all make a difference in tackling climate change issues,2 said Sienna

In the style of the popular 80s slogan tshirts the top reads "The People Versus Global Warming". The design has become the latest fashion must have and is now available for the public to buy.

Kate Bosworth and Rosario Dawson have also been seen wearing the same tshirt and Josh Hartnet and Heather Graham are also supporting the campaign which aims to get a billion people to donate a 'Tonne of Cool'by using online tips to reduce their Co2 emissions by a tonne in a year.

Global Cool t-shirts are also eco-friendly made from 70% organic bamboo and 30% organic cotton which is then shipped to the UK. The fabric woven from bamboo yarn is light, almost translucent, and softer than cotton. It has a natural quality that feels like silk, but has the advantage of being machine-washable.

This natural fibre is hypoallergenic, absorbent and fast drying. It is the most sustainable of the natural fibres. It is fast-growing, the type of bamboo used for making fabric is commonly known as Moso, and every garment made from bamboo is 100% biodegradable.

The bamboo used for the fabric is planted and grown on family-owned farms in China that have been in agriculturally used for generations.

You can buy your own Global Cool Tshirt and register your Tonne of Cool at www.globalcool.org.

Sienna and Savannah launch Twenty8Twelve in New York

The first Twenty8Twelve collection by Sienna and Savannah Miller was launched in New York last week. The sisters hosted the event in their own designs while a behind-the-scenes video of the sisters working on their collection played on a big screen. This was the first time the girls’ parents had seen the collection. “Daughters tend to keep stuff from their mothers,” said the girls’ mother, Jo Miller, who wore Ralph Lauren. “I’m very proud of their creativity.”

The guest list was full of fashions hipsters, from Agyness Deyn, Anne Hathaway, Lily Donaldson, and Rachel Zoe were in attendance, with Neiman Marcus’s Ken Downing gushing to FashionWeekDaily over the collection. “The first thing that came to mind when I saw the collection in London is that it speaks to my girl,” he said. “It has that coquettish, flirty attitude that they both have. The line is really such a commentary on the two of them.”

Fashion Scoop: Miller Time...

MILLER TIME: Sisters Sienna and Savannah Miller made a quick trip to New York on Thursday evening to mark the launch of their spring-summer

Twenty8Twelve by S. Miller collection at the rooftop of the Gramercy Park hotel. "I need a vacation," said Sienna, who left on Friday for Los Angeles to continue working on a new film. "I wish I could just come to New York for a break, but that hasn't happened in such a long time." She did, however, manage to dodge the paparazzi for a little while on Thursday morning when the girls went out for some quality sister time.

"We had a really great sister moment today and went to a little place down the street to get our nails done," Sienna said. As for the collection, don't expect to see it on a runway soon, although the sisters said they hope to show one day.

"For me, there has to be a real reason to have a show," said Savannah, who used to design for Alexander McQueen. "At McQueen, the clothes called for a production and he really puts on a real show."

Sienna agreed, but said, "I would love to have a show someday, maybe if we are bought by the Gucci Group. Then we can have one."

Why is Sienna wearing a wet t-shirt?

Now here's a way to attract attention for a cause. Actress Sienna Miller posed for a publicity shoot in a wet t-shirt while on a visit to India for Global Cool, a climate change awareness organisation.

The star is in the country for a week-long promotional visit to the region as part of her ambassador duties.

A day earlier, she teamed up with Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan to urge Indians to do more to slow the effects of climate change.

Miller said people could help by turning their air conditioners down by even one degree or by turning off phone chargers and other electronic equipment when it's not being used.

"If each one of us does our bit, we will be helping to keep global warming from harming our countries," she said.

Bachchan, India's biggest movie star, announced that the Indian International Film Academy would partner with Global Cool to increase knowledge about greenhouse gas emissions.

It's already been a globetrotting month for Miller. She visited Rome to attend a Valentino party after a whistle-stop visit to New York.

The trips coincided with a controversial time: she was been blamed for the high profile break-up of American rapper P Diddy's long-term relationship with the model Kim Porter, the mother of his three children.

According to reports in the U.S., 36-year-old Miss Porter moved out of the couple's New York apartment following rumours concerning the nature of Diddy and Miss Miller's friendship.

Despite persistent rumours to the contrary, both Miss Miller, and 37-year-old Diddy have denied any romance.

Sienna Miller to launch new fashion label with sis

British model-turned actress Sienna Miler is collaborating with her sister Savannah, a fashion designer, to launch a new fashion label.

However, the Factory Girl star’s older sibling is determined that she won’t ride on her sisters’ success.

“Of course people will say I’m jumping on Sienna’s bandwagon and cashing in on her fame but this is something we have talked about for years,” the Daily Express quoted Savannah, as saying.

The 25-year-old is also excited to work with Savannah, who has been closest person to her.

“Sav has been the closest person to me my whole life. Now I’m working with her – what could be more fun,” she added.
