Rihanna and Lisa Snowdon at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball, London

Rihanna is in town y'all and the cat is outta the bag as to why (a certain X Factor performance is on the cards apparently). Dropping in to Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball last night to perform her three hits Umbrella, Take A Bow and Please Don't Stop The Music, Rihanna shunned the usual red carpet sparkle and razzmatazz to wear a simple outfit consisting of black cropped skinny trousers and a black blazer with pushed up sleeves.

Trouble is, TV host Lisa Snowden was on the same wavelength and wore very similar attire (except she braved the infamous Black Rats leggings in her case). I love Rihanna's necklace, so for me, this was the more eye-catching of the two, although Lisa does also look really great. What do you think?

Brit Awards 2008 red carpet: Kelly Rowland, Natasha Bedingfield & Rihanna

While Kylie and the Girls Aloud ladies chose to show off some leg, Kelly Rowland, Natasha Bedingfield and Rihanna showed them how it's really done in their silver mini dresses at the 2008 Brit Awards last night.

It seemed like Kelly's silver feather mini dress was made just for her and kudos for her for going down the feathered path. Natasha chose to go with a silver shift dress featuring loads of embellishment making her really shine. I'd rather hoped she'd gone with a pair of brightly coloured shoes, instead of black which just seems to weigh her look down a little. But gorgeous dress nonetheless. Meanwhile Rihanna's silver strapless mini dress by Giambattista Valli shimmered against her gorgeous skin, and accessorised to perfection with perfectly coiffed hair.

Rihanna at Macy's to launch her signature line of umbrellas

Rihanna debuted her second exclusive collection of umbrellas at Macy's Herald Square main floor, 3.30 pm Tuesday, February 5.

The singer was available for autographs and the first 175 customers to spend $50 or more on the 'Rihanna for TOTES Umbrella Collection' got to meet Rihanna and score her autograph.

Rihanna was stylishly attired in short black elastic hem shorts with a sheer full sleeve black top under a half sleeve black crew neck crop jacket that had a tie at the neck.

The style of the jacket and her short cropped hair accentuated her tall neck. For a dramatic effect she matched her attire with red soled bright orange Christian Louboutin high heel pumps.

Rihanna has teamed up with TOTES to create her signature line of wind proof umbrellas that includes four styles, available exclusively at Macy's. The single color umbrellas will sell for $20 and the two tone canopy style is priced at $50.

Rihanna at the 9th NRJ Music Awards in Cannes

Rihanna lived up to her recently acquired image of a young celebrity fashion icon walking the red carpet at the 9th NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France, Saturday, January 26.

The Barbados singer won International Song of the Year for "Don't Stop The Music."

Rihanna, 19, stood out in a grey Grecian-inspired single shoulder flowing dress that grazed the floor. It accentuated her curves, ruched at the waist to her right side.

The dress had a gathered low waist at the back with a colorful striped long bow that emphasized the slight train and a knee high slit revealing Rihanna's well formed calves.

The songstress looked totally at ease and walked tall in her black high heeled basket-weave ankle-wrap strap sandals.

Her chic hair do, short and straight, revealed star tattoos on her neck and three piercing on her ears.

Girls' Nighty Out: Mischa Barton and Rihanna learn the hard way that just because the dress code is casual, that doesn't necessarily mean pants are optional. The inner thigh-exposing pair makes the scene at a New York shindig sporting similarly sawed-off, eye-popping peignoirs, although they achieve decidedly different results. On the right, the ubiquitous "Umbrella" chanteuse successfully carries off the baby doll look in a sweet and summery cap-sleeve white chemise that plays up her glowing skin and shapely stems. Mischa, on the other hand, is all knobby-kneed gawkiness in a futuristic pink getup seemingly found during a shopping trip to a tacky galaxy far, far away. While this gaudy and glittery negligee might be just the thing for hitting singles night at the raucous cantina from "Star Wars" or seducing a romantically indiscriminate Captain Kirk, it's all wrong for the newly auburn-maned, teeny tiara-topped starlet, who once again boldly goes into the final frontier of fashion infamy. Rihanna's ever-changing style to promote the MTV Music Awards

My favourite thing about music award shows isn't the rambling acceptance speeches, the crazy performances or the fake smiles when people lose out to their rivals - it is, of course, the outfits.

This year's MTV Video Music Awards aren't due to air until September 9th, but the promotional shots mean that we can already get in the mood for them. Famous photographer David LaChappelle has photographed a number of stars for the shots, including Kanye West, Fall Out Boy and, of course, Rihanna. This time she's dressed as a sort of '80s punk princess; with a mixture of pink lipstick, big hair, pink flouncy dress and... erm... lacy black fingerless gloves! Hmm... I wonder which famous music icon influenced the theme of this shoot?

Who wore it better: Rihanna or Haylie Duff?

I wouldn't usually expect one of the Duff sisters and Rihanna to go for the same dress, and if they did, I would have expected it to be Hilary who seems to prefer more quirky choices, rather than Haylie. But, Haylie it was, working this gorgeous strapless minidress at the Maxim Hot 100 Party in May and pairing it with a gorgeous Chanel clutch. Rihanna wore the same one with Christian Louboutin heels last month to the Jay-Z and GIANT Magazine Exclusive MTV Movie Awards After Party. Who do you think wears it better?
