Star style: Most Improved - Lauren 'Lo' Bosworth

The last time Lauren 'Lo' Bosworth featured on the pages of Catwalk Queen, it was in a section no star would ever want to be: filed under Frock Horrors.

However, we spotted Lauren Conrad's sidekick on The Hills in this tidy ensemble leaving the studios of the CW11 Morning Show in New York this morning and we have to say she looks very smart and not to mention toasty warm in this lovely outfit. The wide legged trousers are much better suited to her figure than the bunched satin skinnies she was wearing last time and we love the grey coat too. Tres chic Lo!

Is there going to be a UK version of The Hills?

Yes there is... Omigod!

According to the MTV casting site, auditions were held yesterday (sorry folks, we're a little slow for once!) to find cast members for the new UK version of The Hills. Keep reading to find out more...

I had to chuckle when I read what they're looking for - someone who has striking looks/personal style, loves being in front of the camera, not a professional actor/presenter, wears their heart on their sleeve, not afraid to show emotion, be passionate about fashion, is seriously interested in writing and lives an aspirational lifestyle.

Well if that doesn't sum up our ed-in-chief Gemma then I don't know what does!

Lauren Conrad's fashion line

It's one thing to love "The Hills." And boy, do we love that show around here.

But getting behind the reality show star's fashion line? Um, we're not quite ready for that kind of commitment.

Just look at her "laid-back" Southern California-inspired dresses.

Now, not that any of us are that good at handling a sewing machine, but it doesn't seem particularly difficult to buy pieces of cottony fabric and create a few drapey dresses. And what about all that leftover material? Just turn those into leggings, girlfriend!

Seriously, have you seen the designer clothes Lauren wears? Would she even try on any of her own designs?

And even if you argue that the clothes really do reflect SoCal style, it's highly, highly unlikely that anyone would spend $150 for an "Audrina" dress when you can find something much more exciting at Target.
