Lirola's self-confessed 'casual chic' jersey pieces

I love the laid-back cool of Israel-based Lirola's creations on Etsy. Using jersey and sweatshirt fabric she creates casual dresses, wrap tops and cardigans with pleats and simple embellishments. If you're usually quite sporty but looking to try something a bit smarter, these are the perfect way to ease yourself into the idea as they're still comfy and quite simple in shape and construction. I love the pleat detail on the grey dress and think it would look fab over thick wool tights and a long-sleeved top. Prices star at $48 for a shrug cardi and go up to $160 for the intricate pleated dress shown above left.

Cosy up in cool loungewear from ASOS, Religion and Etsy

As someone who regularly works from home in free band hoodies and rock climbing trousers I don't really spend out that much on loungewear but there's a great selection out there if you intend to slob about this Christmas. ASOS' takes the on-trend jumpsuit and makes it cosy with the addition of a hood. The Religion grey jersey biker jacket will look good with your favourite pyjama bottoms when you're polishing off the Quality Street and with a floaty floral dress, chunky tights and biker boots for a chic Boxing day outift. Finally, kittycuriosities' sparkly leggings are unashamedly cute but the ruching makes them wearable outside the house.
